3rd biennial award of the PATCH trophy will be made at this year’s Turriff Show
We’re delighted to announce that the 3rd biennial award of the PATCH trophy will be made at Turriff Show this year. This is presented to the ‘Best Animal’ at the National Show of Highland Cattle.
PATCH, founded in 2013, is the first Scottish-based charity committed exclusively to improving standards of palliative care in hospitals. It has raised and committed over £300,000 in such initiatives as financing specialist training of young doctors and nursing staff in many areas of the country and more broadly in raising public awareness of such an important but often neglected aspect of medicine.
Support by the Highland Cattle Society both at the inaugural charitable event in 2017 at Balnabroich Farm and at the Westmorland Show in 2019 has been hugely helpful.
Dr Pam Levack, PATCH medical director will be attending the Turriff Show to make this year's award.
