Judge’s comments
“It was a privilege to be asked to judge the Fun Summer Show along with Bob Mumford. Even with hundreds of miles physically between us, when it came to our selections, we weren’t that far apart across the classes. There was a good mix of haltered and un-haltered animals and, with some classes, we wished that they were in front of us so we could look for some minor faults to make the job easier. After much good-hearted deliberation, we eventually chose the cow as, for her age, she was a fresh looking cow with a good tight udder and in good working condition, everything we all want in a productive cow. The bull was a very close reserve, a solid big bull showing breed character and style with great depth. Once again, many thanks for giving me a chance to judge the show and congratulations to the winners.”
Judge, Stephen Hunter
“Thank you for inviting me to judge charity show with Stephen, we had a very interesting discussion with a good debate on the classes. When we came to champions, we were both in total agreement with the result. I think members should take a bit more time in taking photos of their animals, as it can make judges’ work a lot easier and give better profile of their animals. Thank you to everyone who helped to put everything together for the competition.”
